Custom labels for pharmaceutical, medical and nutraceutical packaging are reviewed against your approved specification. Start with the container, label content, variable information and handling conditions so the material, printing and inspection requirements can be agreed for the project.
Define the Packaging Application
- Small bottles and curved containers: confirm the container diameter, label dimensions, overlap and readable print area.
- Refrigerated or frozen packaging: identify application and storage temperatures separately, including moisture and the time available for adhesive bonding.
- Flexible bags and pouches: share the pack material, filling conditions and expected flexing. For a specific application, review our blood bag label information.
- Cartons and security seals: specify the packaging surface, opening behaviour and whether tamper evidence is required.
Material and Format Example

Material, Printing and Inspection
PET, synthetic paper and other paper or film constructions can be reviewed against the container and use conditions. Adhesive selection, flexibility and any protective finish must be considered together. Temperature, chemical or sterilisation requirements need verification for the exact proposed construction.
Supply the approved artwork and define fixed text, batch or serial information, barcode type and required print size. Confirm who applies variable data, which printer or ribbon is used and how the data will be checked. Agree inspection and barcode-verification criteria before production; see our quality-control capabilities.
Agree the Qualification Requirements
Provide the material specification, required documentation and acceptance criteria before quotation. General company certifications do not establish approval for a pharmaceutical or medical application. We review the requested scope and confirm which documentation and tests can be supplied for the project.
Evaluate samples on representative containers after the agreed application and dwell period. Check bonding, edge lift, legibility and code readability following the specified storage, handling or process exposure. Approve the artwork, construction and sample results before the production run.
