Labels for bathrooms, chilled bottles and wet-handled packaging need more than a water-resistant face film. Adhesion, printed appearance and any machine-readable codes must remain suitable for the intended use. Tell us how the label meets water so we can review the construction.
Define the Water Exposure

Select the Whole Construction
Film materials such as BOPP or PET can be considered for wet applications. Adhesive selection depends on the container material, surface and application conditions. Lamination or varnish may protect the printed face, but a protective finish cannot correct an unsuitable adhesive.
For squeezable bottles, check conformability as well as water exposure. For transparent labels, review adhesive appearance and bubbles on the real bottle. Where paper appearance is preferred, discuss the exposure before selecting a protected paper construction.
Trial on the Intended Packaging
- Apply sample labels using the intended surface preparation and application method.
- Allow the agreed bonding time, then expose samples to representative conditions.
- Check edge lift, wrinkling, print rub, readability and appearance.
- Record the construction and test conditions approved for the production order.
Questions Before Ordering
Does waterproof mean suitable for permanent immersion?
No. Splash resistance, chilled condensation and prolonged immersion are separate requirements. State the expected contact duration and conditions.
Can the label be applied to a wet bottle?
That needs a specific review. An adhesive suitable for use after bonding is not automatically suitable for application to a wet surface. Tell us the actual line conditions.
