Label Materials We Print On

Choose the face material of your self-adhesive label, then match the adhesive and release liner to the container and application process. Xinxing Label prints and finishes paper and film labels; this page helps you compare the material routes.

Brown kraft paper labels in die-cut shapes and rolls
Kraft paper. Blank, die-cut labels in decorative shapes. For dry packaging such as gift boxes and jars; printing and adhesive are selected for the application.
Blank white coated paper labels supplied on a roll
Coated paper. Blank roll labels for subsequent printing. For cartons, dry-goods packaging and information labels.
Unprinted silver PET label stock on a roll
Silver PET. Unprinted roll stock for printing and converting. For identification labels and metallic-look designs; adhesive and service requirements are specified separately.

Compare Label Materials

MaterialSelection focus
Coated paperPaper appearance for many dry packaging applications; review any moisture or contents contact.
Kraft paperNatural paper appearance; approve colour on the actual stock.
BOPPWhite, clear and metallized polypropylene-film options.
Synthetic paperPaper-like film constructions; specify the actual grade and surface rather than treating all white film as identical.
PETPolyester constructions for selected identification and durability requirements.
PolyimideSpecialised constructions for selected demanding temperature or process applications.
Metallized filmA metallic face appearance; identify the underlying film and white-ink areas.
Thermal and thermal transferMaterials selected for the printer technology, image life and use conditions.

PE and Other Specified Constructions

PE can be considered for flexible or squeezable containers. If your project requires a particular supplier construction or a material not listed here, send the specification so availability and production suitability can be reviewed.

BOPP and Synthetic Paper: Specify the Grade

BOPP describes the film family. Synthetic paper describes paper-like materials that can include different polymer constructions and surfaces. Use the supplier grade, thickness and finish to distinguish the proposed stocks; two different trade descriptions may not identify two different materials.

Adhesive and Release Liner

Permanent attachment, removability, repeated opening and low-temperature use require different selection criteria. Include the container surface and temperature during application as well as later service conditions. The release liner must also suit die-cutting, printing and the applicator.

Choose Appearance and Performance Separately

A metallic appearance does not establish chemical resistance, and a paper-like surface does not establish writability. Confirm the complete construction and intended use. Browse performance requirements and finishes and effects alongside the material choice.
